WEST BENGAL HORROR: Another horrific rape-murder case in West Bengal. When the whole country condemns the Hathras rape-murder case, Indian media did selective journalism and remains silent on the West Bengal rape case.

Police recovered the half-naked body of a bride from a field at Baitich in Laxmanpur of Ghatal Police Station this morning.  It is learned that the bride's name is Pratima Mallick (35).  His house is in Bhobla of Chandrakona police station.  Police arrived at the spot this morning after receiving information through villagers.  The naked body of the bride was recovered and sent for autopsy.

The villagers alleged that the bride had been raped and killed. Though no complaint has been lodged in this regard, the police have arrested the deceased's husband Nepal Mallick.

Ghatal Sub-Divisional Police Officer Agnishwar Chowdhury and Ghatal Police Station OC Debangshu Bhowmik said the cause of death of the bride was not yet clear. It will be known when the autopsy report comes. However, the police are not dismissing the allegation of rape and murder.  At the same time, Nepal Mallick, a mason by profession, is being interrogated.

But the question remains unanswered. Why didn't Mamata Banerjee say a single line about Pratima? Why there is no outrage for Pratima?
