Today, the hooliganism of Jamnagar police came to light when a minor from Koli community was called to the police station and beaten up in Jamnagar City B Division Police Station in connection with a 2-month-old assault case because he was seen in CCTV footage.

According to the information received from sources, it has been found that in a case of assault that took place about 2 months ago, a minor, whose age is 14 years and whose father is already in Jamnagar jail in connection with the same case, was called for questioning as the minor's face was visible in the CCTV footage which is about 2 months old. The minor went to the City B Police Station along with his mother Mrs. Asha Ben. Upon reaching the police station, Asha Ben was made to sit outside and the minor was taken inside a room. There, Inspector PP Jha and other police personnel allegedly slapped the minor 10-12 times and abused his mother, sisters and Koli community.

Coming out from there, the minor along with his mother went to the local GGS hospital for medical checkup which proved that the boy was assaulted. Mrs. Asha Ben, along with other people of the Koli community lodged a complaint against the policemen.

Not only the Koli community but the people of other communities are also very angry with this cruel attitude of the Jamnagar police and have extended their support to the minor and have demanded strict action against the accused policemen.
