BREAKING : Varanasi civil court allows ASI Survey of Gyanvapi mosque
In the Kashi dispute, court allows ASI survey of Gyanvapi mosque adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Petition demanded restoration of the land entailing Gyanvapi Mosque to Hindus since it claimed that Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1664 pulled down a portion of 2000 year old Kashi Vishwanath Temple to build the Gyanvyapi Mosque there.

Court of Civil judge Senior Division, Varanasi Civil Court passed the order
Though the petition was opposed by the Gyanvyapi Mosque management committee but now the court has allowed for the ASI survey of the mosque. All expenses relating to the survey are to be borne by the govt.
