Names of many Bollywood actresses are emerging in the drugs case related to SSR's death. On Wednesday Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) issued summons to Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh. As per our sources at NCB, Deepika may be called for questioning on 25th September. While Rakul Preet Singh will have to appear on 24th, and on 26th September Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will be asked to appear before the bureau.

A WhatsApp conversation that took place between Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma Prakash on October 28, 2017, has Deepika is using words like 'hash' and 'weed'. In drug parlance, 'hash' is used for hashish.

Riya names celebrities 

Media reports claim that Riya had named 25 Bollywood celebrities including Shraddha, Sara, Rakul and fashion designer Simone Khambata to NCB. Due to this, Shraddha, Sara and Rakul Preet Singh have also been summoned by NCB.

On the other hand, Riya Chakraborty, arrested in the drugs case, had on Tuesday moved the Bombay High Court seeking bail. Wednesday was fixed for hearing, but the hearing could not be held today due to heavy rains in Mumbai, causing heavy waterlogging. Riya's lawyer Satish Manashinde said that now the hearing will be held on Thursday.

Twice the Special Court (NDPS) rejected Riya’s bail application. Riya was arrested on September 8 by the NCB investigating the drugs connection in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The next day she was shifted to Byculla jail.

Riya's judicial custody till 6 October

Riya is accused of being in contact with drug peddlers, & arranging drugs for Sushant. She was produced, on Tuesday, through video conferencing from Byculla jail. The special court extended her judicial custody till 6 October. In such a situation, Riya now expects relief from the High Court. Riya along with her brother Shovik have also filed bail in the High Court.

20 people arrested in drugs case

NCB has arrested 20 people including Riya and Shovik as well as Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, helper Dipesh Sawat and several drug peddlers.
