Earlier, 25-year-old Pintu Nishad, a resident of Wajidpur in Chakri police station area, used to work in the tannery. On Sunday night, he was going somewhere with his elder brother Deepak and partner Sandeep, while on the way, passing through the Wajidnagar colony, a pouch of water was found in front of Mohammad Faiz's house. It is alleged that while walking, Pintu's leg fell on the pouch, resulting in a splash on Mohammad Faiz which led to a quarrel and gruesome murder
When Pintu objected to the abuses about his caste, Mohammad Faiz caled his colleagues. In no time more than 2 dozen people gathered and attacked three people including Pintu with sticks. During this time there was a huge stone-pelting. The situation became worse as there was no timely intervention and no one tried to save Pintu from the mob. Later Police reached the spot and rushed towards the hospital to admit Pintu where he later succumbed to his injuries.
