Legendary Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passes away at Chennai

Legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passes away at age 74,on Friday at Chennai's MGM health care, his son SP Charan confirmed.He was hospitalised on August 5 after testing Covid positive, tough he tested negative later but he was put on ventilator. 
The six time National Award winner has recorded over 40,000 songs in as many as 16 languages.

Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam 4 June 1946 – 25 September 2020, also referred to as S. P. Balu,was an Indian musianplaybacksinger,music director,actor,dubbing artist and fim producer who worked predominantly in Telgu, Tamil, kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films.

He sang over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages.He has garnered six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback singer for his works in four different languages; Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi; 25 Andhrapradesh state Nandi Awards for his works towards Telugu cinema, numerous other state awards from Karnataka and Tamilnadu.

In addition, he garnered the FilmFare Awards, and six FilmMax Awards South.
