Mumbai Police hits Final Nail in the Coffin: Lies Busted

Mumbai Police hits Final Nail in the Coffin: Lies Busted

In a major divulgence that contradicts the Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh's allegations, Republic Media on Thursday got the access to FIR filed by the Mumbai Police on the complaint of Nitin Deokar, the Deputy General Manager of the Hansa Research Group Private Limited. This company is liable for installing and maintaining the Bar-O-Meter of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC). Vishal Bhandari- the Relationship Manager of the Hansa Research Group Private Limited arrested by Mumbai Police confessed that India Today and other channels kindled him and offered money to panel homes, where Bar-O-Meter is installed.

As per the complainant Nitin Deokar, some persons were trying to increase the viewership of their respective channels by making panel homes in order to benefit media houses. He added that a manipulative TRP rating causes several advertisers to be part of the nexus with a huge sum of money floating in the name of sponsorship to the least deserving channels. Moreover, Deokar revealed that a person named Vinay asked Vishal  Bhandari in November 2019 to approach 5 homes and insisted them to watch India Today daily for two hours. As per Bhandari’s own confession to the BARC Vigilance team, Vinay paid him Rs.5000 as commission for distributing Rs.1000 among 5-panel homes. An internal audit inquiry conducted by BARC confirmed that 5 households were indeed bribed to watch India Today daily for a minimum of two hours from November 2019 to May 2020 which has put INDIA TODAY under the public scanner for the malpractices they were carrying in the name to increase their market base and also rubbishes their claim of being most viewed channel since years.

After the allegation leveled by the top cop, Republic Media Network's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami released an official statement and announced that Republic TV will file a criminal defamation case against the Mumbai Police Commissioner. Arnab made it clear that BARC has nowhere mentioned Republic TV in the complaint and stressed that these charges have been leveled because the Republic Media Network has questioned the credibility of Param Bir Singh in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case many times. Arnab stated that such action only strengthens the resolve of everyone working at the Network to push for the truth even harder. He urged the Mumbai Police commissioner to issue an official apology for slandering the reputation of the Republic Media face or to be prepared for legal proceedings.

This development is seen as suppressing the voice of Republic Media who is actively vouching for the justice of late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and it was the efforts of Arnab Goswami that Justice for Sushant and CBI investigation was put into after the huge demand by the public was poured in for the fair investigation which has put Mumbai Police credibility at stake.

Arnab paying the price for questioning the intent of Uddhav Thackeray Government and Working of Mumbai Police

Arnab Goswami's Republic Media hasn't been into the good books of Mumbai police after they faced the fury of questions from the Republic media and it has been evident various of times from Republic media correspondents were halted to attend the press conference of the Police chief on the development of Sushant's case to arresting the ground reporters of the channel who were trying their best to unveil the truth and also not allowed them to have legal counsel for many days. Even many cases were falsely charged against Arnab Goswami and all were later quashed on the absence of shreds of evidence.

This all seems a planned conspiracy against the media house who has not left an inch to bring out the truth in the Sushant case and they are still fighting for the cause. After the revelation, the Commissioner hasn't issued any statement in his defense, hile Twiter and other social media have come into the support of Arnab by trending hashtags in his favor but this time Mumbai Police seems to be in big trouble as Arnab Goswami has openly challenged them and new twists and development can be seen in next few days.
