Ram Vilas Paswan : An Immortal Personality
Nation lost a true voice of the Marginalised
In the demise of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan the nation has lost a visionary leader . He was the voice of the oppressed and championed the cause of the marginalised .
If we talk about his political career then he was 9 time MP who has been part of several governments . Chess was his favourite game and it’s hard to ignore the fact that he has always made the right political decision .
He has been a founding pillar of third front governments and a champion of social Justice . Paswan represented Hajipur , a seat next to state capital Patna .
Even Paswan went to jail during Indira Gandhi‘s tenure , when emergency was imposed in the country in 1975 , he was released in 1977 . During the same year he was elected to Lok Sabha for the first time as Janata party member .
Ram Vilas Paswan has been part of every coalition government at the Centre since 1989 . And has been described by Lalu Prasad Yadav as “Mausam Vaigyanik “ or weather scientist for his ability to read the political winds and go with the winning side .
The Dalit leader from Bihar knows which side of the bread is butter.
in fact during his birthday this year Sh. Paswan asserted “My leader is PM Narendra Modi.”
It’s really shocking to say that Ram Vilas Paswan who had emerged as a Dalit leader in 1970s is no more with us .
Nation came to know about this after Chirag Paswan , his son shared an emotional tweet : “Papa ...Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa.... .
