Beyond astonished to learn that Salil Tripathi's @Twitter account (@saliltripathi) has been suspended. Salil is an outstanding journalist, writer and human rights activist. He is also the chair of PEN International's Writers in Prison Committee. @pen_int @ayadakhtar— Amitav Ghosh (@GhoshAmitav) December 6, 2020
This is beyond ridiculous. My friend and former colleague @saliltripathi has spent decades battling for free speech, including for those with whom he disagrees. I’m sure @Twitter will restore his account, but suspending it in the first place is not a good look at all. https://t.co/guk4A7jd6A— Sadanand Dhume (@dhume) December 6, 2020
While there are others, the usual suspects, who can not let any opportunity go to take a jibe at Hindu Nationalists.
Brahmin @saliltripathi mugged by Twitter and no outrage from Hindu. Shame. Paap lagega sab ko.— Aakar Patel (@Aakar__Patel) December 6, 2020
