Twitter on Thursday removed the profile photo of the Twitter account of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It was stated on Twitter that the reason for the removal of the photo was due to a report from a copyright holder. However, the profile photo of the Home Minister was restored after a while.

ANI Tweeted:

Earlier, a similar incident took place on the Twitter account of senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy last week. For more than a week, Twitter blocked photos of her profile and banner citing copyright infringement. A report said that Dr. Swamy's lawyers and his secretary Jagdish Shetty contacted Twitter, warning of legal action, following which Twitter restored photos again on Thursday evening. Twitter reported that they were acting on the basis of a complaint by an unknown person from Bangladesh.

Let me tell you, a few days ago Twitter also removed the profile photo of the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). During that time he also cited copyright infringement.
